ENGINEERING SERVICES CENTRE

The Engineering Services Centre restructured recently by the merger of Workshop and Pilot Plants to promote the R&D activities through pilot plants leading to commercialization.

Facilities

Pilot Plants Section has a vast range of equipment facilities for the unit operations and unit processes required to test the Lab. Scale developed processes technologies in PCSIR. In addition Pilot Plants also extend the services to private / public entrepreneurs in respect of the production of various chemicals.

The centre has also mechanical workshop equipped with state of the art and necessary conventional machinery such as a CNC Machining & Turning Centers. Surface Finishing, Rolling Machine, Shearing Machine, Bending Machine, Argon Welding, Hydraulic Press, etc., and Quality Control & Design Section, The workshop undertakes fabrication in steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous material. After the up-gradation and modernization of workshop under on-going PSDP Project the non-destructive testing, heat treatment, surface treatment and painting will be the vital part of workshop.
